31 Days :: Day 23 – Permission Slips

I finally got around to starting the Oprah/Brene’ Brown eCourse, Gifts of Imperfection, which focuses on the “wholehearted journey from going from ‘What would people think?’ to ‘I am imperfect and I am enough'”.  Part of the first lesson includes setting intentions for the process and creating “permission slips” (using art journals) to use throughout the course.   These permission slips serve as little reminders to be compassionate with ourselves – to allow a bit of imperfection.

Now, even though I love new markers and blank journals, art projects have never really been my thing.  I’m actually looking forward to giving art journaling a try, though, because I’ve never been able to consistently keep a strictly handwritten journal.  We’ll see how it goes!
